Brendan Bottcher Forms New Curling Team with Olympic Ambitions

Bottcher Announces Roster for Upcoming Season

Edmonton-based Skip Unveils New Lineup

Edmonton's Brendan Bottcher has assembled a formidable new curling team, setting his sights on Olympic glory. On Monday, Bottcher announced that he will join forces with a talented trio for the 2023-24 season: Brad Jacobs, Mark Nichols, and Jon Epping.

This alliance brings together some of Canada's most accomplished curlers. Jacobs is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won gold in 2014 and bronze in 2018. Nichols is a three-time world champion, while Epping is a former Brier champion and two-time Grand Slam winner.

"I'm incredibly excited about this new team," said Bottcher. "These guys are not only world-class curlers, but they're also great teammates. I believe we have the potential to be a dominant force on the ice."

Bottcher, who parted ways with his previous team earlier this year, is eager to start a new chapter. The 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy, are on his mind, and he believes this new roster gives him the best chance of achieving his Olympic dream.

"We're all committed to putting in the work and being the best we can be," added Bottcher. "I'm confident that this team can climb to the top of the podium and represent Canada at the highest level."
